# 8 Trotline/ Rope: It’s a great all around line, it’s durable and soft. If it starts to knot just give it a shake and it comes right out. The other good thing about this line is it’s easier on the wallet than the ¼’ three strand medium lay.
¼’ med lay 3 Strand Nylon: MOST MIGHT SAY THIS IS THE “Cadillac” of all lines and yet the most costly. This is what most commercial guys use because if it gets knotted up just give it a shake and out its comes. And also it has great wear resistance, which means longer life. The down side is that it is more expensive.
